                      💙💙💙💙💙💙💙  I LOVE NETBALL  💙💙💙💙💙💙💙

I'm a big fan of VNSL and Suncorp Superleague in Australia, and an even bigger fan of grassroots netball.

My personal netball history:

🏐 Captained and represented Scottish Universities Netball Team at 4 British University Games Tournaments.

🏐 Represented both Stirling and Glasgow University 1st teams.

🏐 Full Blues from both Universities for netball.

🏐 Represented North Yorkshire from U14-U19.

🏐 Played NYNAL Div 1 for 6 years.

🏐 Have coached junior netball at RI for 4 years.

As you can see I've played netball all my life to a high standard. I am also a teacher and a L2 cricket coach (I LOVE cricket too).

Most importantly to me I am a mum to four kids.

I love the fact that junior netball is community-based through the many local clubs in York and I don't want to detract from that in any way.

I see RYG as a way for younger girls (yrs 7-9) to play more, have fun, stay fit, and improve their game .

For the older group (yr10-13) a chance to improve their skills and gain experience and for those heading off to uni to be able to play at a good level there.

RYG would also be great for GCSE PE netballers to boost their skills.

1-2-1 sessions are available to book for those girls aspiring to play representational netball at North Yorkshire and in Leeds Rhinos hubs or academies.

I have watched my daughter progress by playing at club, NY and LR academies and comp squad and have seen how they go about their training and their ethos of fundamentals being essential. A big part of the adjustment for her was having to learn all the practices when other girls seemed to already know them so we will be using lots of drills that are used by various teams including VSNL drills.
